REFLECTIONS ON THE ART FROM GEGO’S WORK.
Conversaciones FG is the title of a group of 17 micro-interviews with different personalities from the national and international art scene whom, from different perspectives, offer a reflection on current art, based on the work of Gego, its history, validity and transcendence.
The making of this project, was in charge of the company 2382.co, a design and audiovisual production firm based in Madrid under the direction of Montenegro & Lafont and production of Caroline Heredia.
By Fundación Gego the general coordination of the project was in charge of Claudia Garcés and Priscila Abecasis
We have valuable testimonies from plastic artists, filmmakers, museum directors, curators, designers, registrars, collectors and experts in art marketing. They are: Diana Boccardo, Manuel Borja Villel, Alex Castro, Daniel Crespin, Carlos Cruz Diez, David Nathalié, Eugenio Espinoza, Claudia Garcés, Paolo Gasparini, Beatriz Gunz, Glenn Lowry, Luis Molina Pantin, Luis Enrique Pérez-Oramas, Patricia Phelps of Cisneros, Tahía Rivero, Álvaro Sotillo and Félix Suazo.
The interviews were achieved in different ways. Some in person, others by skype and even by phone, seeking to incorporate the real and everyday circumstances of these times: geographic distance and available resources as one more element in the series of audiovisual pieces.
